The new $150 million WellStar Paulding Hospital, opening in April 2014, brings state-of-the-art medical care to Paulding County residents.  The eight story, 250,000 square foot, 112 bed facility will offer core medical amenities including emergency services for adults and children, an accredited chest pain center, private patient rooms, telemetry and medical/surgical procedures, low acuity and high acuity surgery, GI and bronch services, ear/nose/throat care. Cancer therapies will be done on site. The hospital will offer inpatient and outpatient imaging, as well as a women’s imaging center.

The hospital will be integrated into the Paulding community in such a way that it becomes more than just a place to receive medical care as a strong emphasis placed on healing and promoting wellness.

The hospital will be one of the first Pebble Projects in Georgia. Pebble-based projects are evidence based design concepts which means the hospital will be centered on patient care, quality safety, and efficiency. WellStar Health System recently announced a partnership with the Mayo Clinic which will bring some of the best cancer treatment and cardiac care in America to Paulding.

WellStar has made a commitment to sustainability solutions and the WellStar Paulding Hospital will be the first hospital in the country heated solely by geothermal energy.
